Yes, I was just thinking of powdered eggs for baking or cooking, but CottonBall said they don’t work. Have you tried them?
Do you all think there will be food shortages as grim as some countries? Here we ear so much processed food, fast food, etc., and I think that’s where shortages will be. I do anticipate inflation.
Since the shipping problems I noticed food in smaller packages are harder to get, especially in the frozen section. We still have plenty of fresh foods, just more expensive.
Jane, again at HEB not much bakery breads. They were gone by the time I was there. Next time I’ll go in early so I can ask whats going on.
Check out this lib lady behind Groomer Durbin.....she reminds me of PeLOUSY with her twitching/mouth movements....must be the evil trying to escape...vid at link....
Sen. Dick Durbin: "I want to give a special shoutout to Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins. This has not been an easy assignment to step up and vote for President Biden's nominee. I respect them very much for doing so. I want to thank them." https://t.co/WxzSQ0E84o pic.twitter.com/k2jHTnYpSi— The Hill (@thehill) April 5, 2022
I’ve not tried any powdered eggs, but...I think I have some (a can) in my supplies.
Here are some, at Walmart....no idea who they taste/cook....
RE: Eggs
I ordered several Ova Easy 2 oz. bags of egg crystals (5 eggs). Best to have some on hand. 2-3 years shelf life. I noticed if you got the can of 10 bags, it was 7 years shelf life.

Not sure exactly how the programs run in Texas, but here the EBT (welfare) cards all renew at the first of each month, so unless it’s something we really need, we don’t bother trying to supply shop before the 10th.
Usually by then the store shelves are restocked. At least, that’s been our experience.

The predictions are all very scary. I don’t know what to believe. I don’t think I’ll go crazy hoarding stuff. We’ve had predictions like these in the past and of course they came to nothing. This time could be different because there actually are empty shelfs and high prices.
