I understand that the lady presented a threat to the building and the situation needed to be resolved safely. My issue with the female police officer is that she treated it as a big joke, laughing about it and seemingly enjoying her opportunity to be a bada**.

Yeah, the lady cop behaved inappropriately. She laughed. IMO that does not warrant litigation. The perp was a threat to the building and the occupants and even if the lady cop had cried, the response would still have been the same.

The cops had waited half an hour for the Crisis Response Team (what kind of made up bogus division is that?) to no avail. CRT was tied up somewhere else.

What the lady cop did was stupid, not criminal, and IMO doesn't deserve the vehemence she's receiving. How quickly the civil rights attorney (his specialty) showed up tells me it's not impossible that the whole thing was orchestrated for just this outcome.
