Fun factoid: My band opened for the James Gang in Yuma, AZ just after Walsh quit. Instead, Tommy Bolin, a superb guitarist, was heading the band.

And I did a flaming drum solo that nearly burned down YCC in a pre-Great White act.

His resumé was strong from James Gang to Billy Cobham to Jan Hammer to Leland Sklar to Deep Purple to Carmen Appice to Alphonse Mouzon

Amazing....he was very popular in the south ....we all had his various outings on vinyl

Man that James Gang Bang album cover would take a hit in woke world wouldn’t it..lol
