@MikeGibbonsOH

I’m proud to have been endorsed by @RandPaul, who knows I’ll fight alongside him to defend liberty, cut wasteful spending, keep bureaucrats like Fauci accountable, and put America First in the U.S. Senate.

Rand says half of Republicans vote against his balanced budget so its important that people send the right kind of person to the Senate

Gibbons is a businessman/outsider

I don’t have any local knowledge but he seems OK to me.

He has ran for office before so is vetted

“Mike Gibbons is a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, Constitutional conservative with the guts to tell it like it is and fight for what’s right. I need him in the Senate.”

Never been a Gibbons fan. Always came across as a smug elitist who thinks he deserves the office.

Stir the pot, I’m sure, but I still like Josh Mandel.

I’m going for Josh Mandel too . He has already proven himself . Hard worker and open and honest .

Josh is creepy, but yeah, I have doubts about Gibbons too.

Why is it so hard to get good candidates in states like this?

Pros:

He is a retired investment banker. Self-made multi-millionaire. He is an outsider who ran for Senate the last time & lost in the primary. He is Pro-life, Pro 2nd amendment, strong conservative.

Negatives: He is a retired Investment Banker, He is an outsider....He is also 70 years old taking a job that has a 6 year contract & the average life expectancy in Ohio is 76.9 years.

I am torn between him & Mandel. Mandel can hold the job for decades easily as his in his mid forties.

70?-show stopper. They’re like SCOTUS appointments. A 6 year probationary first term is good for a 2nd term. Doesn’t apply here. 12 years max is best unless there’s too much at risk-think Wisconsin(Johnson).

I agree that we should limit the Senators to 2 terms. However, that is not the way the game is played. Those in leadership have many years in service & hold the power. Unfortunatly we also find that the longer they serve the RINOyer they get.

The only way to stop this length of service is to repeal the 17th Amendment. That would eliminate many of the problems with the Federal government in total.

Couple the elimination of the 17th amendment with the ability for the President to fire any government employee in the Executive Branch & the Deep State could be eliminated as well.

You either listen to Rand or don’t....

There is a reason he hasn’t endorsed Mandel.

Mandel is a machine politician and will be Mitch’s butt boy if he makes it to the Senate.

It could not be more clearer.

Gibbons is the Vampire Squid candidate. Like Vance he’s talking a good game, but his antecedents say he will be a Senator from Wall Street.

I trust Mandel. I do NOT trust Gibbons, or Vance.

Mandel is a bad candidate. This affair cost us the Senate seat and a majority in that body. We can’t blow another race with him. Gibbons is the only viable choice.

Post #16. Mandel is too toxic to give him another chance. We need Gibbons.
