And you think that those acres are going to be idle now? Is Russia setting fire to wheat fields? Or is wheat production in Ukraine going to see, what, maybe a 25% reduction of grain reaching the market?
I was only commenting on the absurdity of the 0.9% figure, because it was categorically untrue.
How the wheat markets will fare as a result of this war (given Russia’s reduced exports and the likely reduction in wheat produced in Ukraine for the upcoming season), I can only speculate, but it’s certainly not rosy.
