The majority spend way to much on high priced packaged junk. More people will go more back to basics, cheaper staples bought in bulk.
Your comment sounds like Yellen and the rest of the Great reset crowd.
Just buy an electric car.
How out of touch can you be ?
I had some business classes in the 90s and the example used was convenience. An egg will be 5 cents to buy and $1 fried in a hamburger as an extra.
If there is anything that gets hit it is the convenience and not the calories.

Very true.
While we are not “preppers” in the classic sense of the word it is prudent to have a stock of shelf foods. In that vain we have some stuff and since everything has a shelf life want to rotate items so we have been doing a lot of food prep using basic ingredients and trying to keep it simple.
Anyway very little of what we eat are packaged or convenience foods anymore which has resulted in cutting our food budget almost in half.
Most people who own a home have enough land to plant a small garden. You can learn which vegetables have the most success in your area and plant those. My neighbors growing up had a garden on a plot that was about 30’ x 20’ (maybe slightly bigger) and every summer they were giving away squash, zucchini, peas, green beans, sweet peppers, etc.

and WAY healthier ... it just takes more time to cook, time which is in short supply if all the adults in a family have to work at low-wage jobs with long commutes and try to also take care of their children ...
