Vernon Jones would have made a much better Senate candidate. He’s been unwaivering in his support for Trump and the MAGA agenda, and he’s a fighter.

On the face of it, I like Vernon Jones too, but there were rumours that he had some sexual indiscretions in his past that may have hurt both his chance to be elected and President Trump’s credibility, had he endorsed Jones. It’s possible the rumours are merely the work of the Democrat smear machine, but if we believe Q’s assertion that “We have it all”, the veracity of the rumours may be known, leaving only two possibilities. One is that the rumours are true. The other is that they aren’t, but the cost to Jones’ campaign to fight and defend them was deemed too high to take on. If he’s a good man, there may be a place for Jones out of the spotlight.
I’ve heard of those rumors but haven’t really looked into them
much. Perhaps there’s some truth to the rumors, but just judging by his behavior over the last few years, he’s been rock solid. And Trump was comfortable enough to endorse him, albeit for Congress. By the time Trump was encouraging Walker to run, I think Jones had already announced he was running for Governor (I could be wrong about that but I think it’s true), which might explain why Trump didn’t push for him to run for Senate.
