Kurt Schlichter's article in Townhall The GOP Needs to Reject Losers Like Eric Greitens is a great read. You may not like what he writes, but Kurt's opinions are hard with which to disagree.
Greitens came out of nowhere to run for governor, changing from a democrat in 2015 to a republican in 2016. He managed to develop a cult of loyal followers.
I remember I received a call from a Greitens supporter right before the 2016 election, I told him I would reluctantly vote for Greitens this time and I hoped I would be as enthusiastic in four years as he was. I then asked him if he was going to vote for Trump and he replied that "He wasn't sure." !!!!Sure sign of a cult personality.
We haven't even gotten to the "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" angle yet. Are you familiar with Rick Roeber and how the Missouri legislature would have expelled him from the legislature on a 153-0 vote last year except he resigned first? And this was on accusations that were 30 years old and not found provable by child services, or the court, or whatever.
I'll vote for Greitens if he is nominee, but, it will be a wasted vote, a Democrat will win, and Eric's ego will ruin a whole hell of a lot more than his marriage.
A lot of people weren’t sure if they would vote for Trump pre 2016. So that part doesn’t fly with me. And a lot of decent Dems changed to Republican and a lot of Current Republicans should be Dems but are only with GOP because that’s how you win a district. Then we have AG Schmitt.. who has China ties.. we don’t have much choice. And I don’t see 2022 as an environment where Dems will win a da— thing! Even if the pubbie is weak from attacks. Entitled to your opinion but I know no one else in MO went to AZ or Mike Lindells symposium, but Greitens did. Not being sure in Trump in 2016, once again means nothing and is a straw man argument.
