I kind of lean toward Peter Gunn, but there are so many.
Mancini wrote it, btw.

As far as comedy Gilligan gets my vote. Sadly, Ginger is the only one left on the Island called Earth.

Absolutely Peter Gunn. There’s Peter Gunn, and then there’s all the rest.

Hahahahahahahahaha
I will say, Peter Gunn is one of my favorites. I have the Henry Mancini album, and I go on tears listening to it repetitively..:)

Really? I always thought the PG theme was instrumental.

Thanks. Though admittedly I’m partial to the first set of Bradley girls.

Peter Gunn, hands down.
Way ahead of its time.
Of course the NBC Evening News with Chet Huntley and David Brinkley opened with the first few bars of the first movement of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. So it ranks up there too even though it wasn’t a “TV show”.

It is. I have no idea where those lyrics or when those lyrics came about.

Lots of great them songs from my era here…I’m going with Route 66 as my favorite.

I would also throw in the “Maude” theme, sung by Donnie Hathaway.
