Sounds like the Ukrainian Offensive on Kherson tonight is Confirmed.
Ukrainian Forces are beginning a Large Scale Southern Offensive from the City of Mykolaiv and from the North involving Heavy Armor, Artillery and Air Assets towards the Russian Occupied City of Kherson and its Airport.

The Russians announced two surrender deadlines that were both spurned. The Ukrainians won’t surrender, and the heavy losses the Russians have taken there have caused them to call in troops from around Kherson, weakening those positions.

I know about the Azov Battalion. But from some of the posters here on FR you’d think it is so vast and widespread that no military force on earth can stand up against it. Strange, though, those same posters are completely silent on the Russian-backed Sparta Brigade.
That being said, I have not see ANY credible evidence that Azov is holding civilians hostage and preventing them from leaving. You obviously have such a source; so, please share it.

I probably agree they will not surrender — at least not now.
The Azov Nazis have been defeated in Mariupol. The concentration of their forces are in the Donbas and they have been surrounded. It is only a matter of time for the Ukes. Just like the Ukes will not surrender at the moment, the Ruskies are there for the duration and will be successful.

The reason the Russians are in Kherson is that there was no Ukrainian army in the region. They were in the east and defending Kiev and in the first week the Russians walked through the south.
The army that is closing in on Kherson is one that didn’t exist two weeks ago. It is reservists, experienced foreign fighters, and veterans.
There are about 1 million completely green recruits being trained across Ukraine. It will take time to turn these folk into a credible force, but in a couple of months Ukraine will have massive numerical superiority.
I doubt that will happen, looking at the methodical encirclements ( cauldrons) on most battle maps. Last I read about 60K UKA nearly cutoff and will be forced to make a decision to surrender or die. Z has ordered everyone to stand and fight to death. The Azov in Mariupol that didn’t sneak away…are in Valhalla or will be, soon
But it has been the regular army shelling Donbass civilians for 8 years.

I’m just reporting the facts on the ground in the Kyiv area. The invaders have dug in in the suburbs and the Ukrainians counter attack them at their leisure. If there is an “idiot” here it’s not me.
I watched a video where Azov battalion (their patches were clear as day) holding a house full of civilians hostage in Mariupol. The civilians were all laying face down with their hands behind their backs. Men, women, children. One of that Azov Nazis was plucking away on a piano in the living room.

The account had posted several videos of both Azov committing atrocities in Mariupol and civilian testimony to these acts.
Twitter wasn't happy.
I do know this after the past six years. Twitter has never, not once, suspended an account for lying.
