Not often that one of these touches down in a major metropolitan area. Wonder if we’re looking at a mass casualty event here?
It’s also not usual for one to be that big in that area, so close to the ocean.
I was wondering the same thing about casualties.
People not used to living in tornado prone areas just don’t know how to deal with them.
Watching Ryan Hall Y’all on U-tube. 9th Ward, NO is a mess. Lots of wires down, people trapped, lots of EMS called in.

Someone on Twitter in N.O. just said that people in the city “don’t have basements.” because of the sea level. She expects there to be large casualties.
There are no basements or underground shelters in that area, that’s for sure.

Most likely, 90% of the debris and garbage in the streets was there before the storm.
That’s a big one all right!
Crazy March is acting up.
Earthquakes, tornadoes, and in my small town in PA. a large black bear is running around town every night and pillaging the garbage dumpsters.
He’s been caught on a dozen security cams.
Probably did fifty cents worth of damage.
That is true. All they can do is run to the bathroom, get in the tub, and pull a mattress over them.
