In February, U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley told lawmakers a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine could take Kyiv in 72 hours

When has Milley ever been right? He's a woke POS.

The Russians aren’t interested in taking cities. They are interested in destroying military.

Putin said what his goals were and they were not shock and awe takeover of Ukraine.

If it is still out there, go listen. Or don’t

“In February, U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley told U.S. lawmakers that he had advised his Chinese counterpart of his hope that a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine could take Kyiv in 72 hours.”

In all honesty, if Russian forces had used normal Soviet doctrine for bombardment and destruction of airfields and military strongpoints, they could have. They assumed most of the Ukrainians would welcome them in and they could get to Kiev fast.

But the period of time preparing for the attack and the false perception of their reception really messed up their timeline.
