Interesting point about the tonsils.

How many people have had them removed because the Drs thought they were the cause of colds etc?

I had colds every month when I was a child, and had a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.

Turns out the cause of the colds was a milk allergy.

Needless to say, when covid started going around and Zelenko came out with his protocol, I got on the supplements C, D, zinc, quercetin, etc.

Want to hear something weird? My husband has asthma as a kid... back in the day when there really wasn’t very good asthma medicine. He got his tonsils and adenoids out and his asthma stopped. No idea why but he was then free to run in the grass, be outside etc..

Tonsils appear to be the first line of defense for the immune system for disease entering the nose and mouth. I may be their function and importance is not fully understood by modern medicine.

Perhaps it is time for medical research dollars to be redirected from “gain of function” research, making viruses stronger, to understanding the body’s immune system and ways to keep it healthy. Simply maintaining the correct balance of vitamins and minerals may be all that is needed to ensure the immune system works at maximum effectiveness in defending the body from natural (as opposed to manmade or man enhanced) disease. The cost of administering the correct mix of supplements to an individual throughout life, to insure the immune system thwarts disease when exposed, would be much lower than treating infected people with weak immune systems in hospitals with expensive drugs.

There was a time when it was fashionable to remove tonsils, even if they were healthy. I believe the reasoning was that tonsils served no purpose and the procedure was least unpleasant the younger the patient was.
