Tough shit.
***I get it. We put one over on them. So when they build their own nukes and blow the hell out of 200,000 Russians, they’ll say exactly the same thing to them. And especially to us, when we ask them to de-nuke a second time.

Their entire country is not worth the life of one US military member.
***I understand the sentiment. It’s just that it is so vociferous NOW, after we are BETRAYING them, rather than being so loud when they’re giving up their own nukes. Sumthin about your pantywaist position just plain doesn’t add up.

The border with Mexico, big difference
***Basically a red herring, but hey, let’s go ahead and talk about it. None of your side wanted to:

The emBASEee strategee

So we have this thread.

To be candid, somewhere on FR I have even advocated this strategy towards Mexico. Set up a buffer zone between us and their Narco state. Intercept drug and human trafficking. The illegal colonizers are still caught in Mexico. They can have a taste of freedom in their own country.

Much of the world and it’s problems are none of our business, period. What mischief globalist meddlers funded by US taxpayer dollars may have generated is unfortunate but no reason to continue to generate the mischief. The answer is to let most of the world alone to deal with their problems in their way and for us to try and deal with ours, which are far greater and of much more real consequence to normal Americans than all the woes of other lands. The US is being invaded through a now non existent southern border. At the same time tens of millions of taxpayer dollars are being spent on the putative security of the Ukraine. Not in securing our frontiers. Nothing in all of Europe could possibly be of as much importance to normal Americans as the maintenance of the security of our borders. There is no foreign policy issue that comes close to bet as significant as dealing with the opioid epidemic or the destruction of our national production base.

What is the motivation of people like you?
Are you just so validated by your obsession with the surface glamour of some alien conflict that you see the very real, indeed existential struggle of, by your standards less enlightened or competent Americans, as unimportant and beneath your dignity? Or are you one of the not small constituency of Americans who supported by the taxes and lives of those you view with a patronizing contempt that borders on loathing, can devote yourself to the higher calling of meddling in the problems of distant lands?
