I think he is wrong on that. Trump has repeatedly said he is taking over the repub. Also Armstrong said that the deep state picked every cabinet member; hard to believe that; means Trump was either stupid or controlled. Pompeo definitely not ds, for one.

Trump's problem was that Congress would have rejected a nominee who was not part of the Deep State. The Mainstream Media would have gone after anyone not "approved."

But behind the curtain, things may have been going on that Armstrong did not perceive.

The DS may very well have picked many or most of PDJT’s cabinet. Turtle Mitch is as DS as they come and he controlled the confirmation process. It’s unknown how many names President Trump put forward that Turtle said “Uh, uh. That guy won’t make it through and it would be a bad look for you, Mr. President, to have your choice not confirmed. Pick another. Uh, uh. Not him either. Pick another, or how about this guy? I can get him through.”

I don’t know how these things work from the inside, but that’s how I imagine they worked against PDJT.
