It’s supposed to be a gold-backed cryptocurrency or something, where one day “they” (who, aliens?) will flip a switch and eliminate everyone’s debt.

Just thinking outside the box a bit....We've all got debt simply by being American citizens we are on the hook for paying back the trillions upon trillion of federal debt.

Maybe when this currency flip occurs it's that debt that disappears. Americans tax liabilities would decrease immediately and we could start accruing wealth, only this time, we would be more aware (awake) and jealously guard it from those who would take it via legislative actions.
