Madison Cawthorn achieved a huge victory in an N.C. federal court (insurrection allegations)

A group of North Carolinians failed to get North Carolina Representative Madison Cawthorn kicked off November’s ballot. They’d argued that the 14th Amendment’s “Disqualification Clause” prohibits anyone who participated in an “insurrection” against the government of the United States from appearing on a ballot—and of course, within hours of events on January 6, Democrats started saying that a spontaneous protest at the Capitol constituted an “insurrection.” (The fact that there seem to have been government operatives herding people onto the Capitol grounds and into the building suggests it wasn’t a coincidence that they instantly had a narrative in place.)

Cawthorn was the first to be subject to a 14th Amendment, Section 3 (Disqualification Clause) attack, but the fact is that, back in December, all activities got their Marc Elias, Hillary Clinton’s attorney: (Tweet at link)

"Democrats started saying that a spontaneous protest at the Capitol constituted an “insurrection.”"

Just like Maxine Waters crying "impeach Trump," the Democrats are never specific about charges against Republicans, mainly because they don't have the evidence to back up their accusations imo.

Instead of due process, Trump supporters are getting mock process like Trump's failed mock impeachments and now this insurrection thing.

Democrats are "Keystone Kops" at weaponizing the law, but then some activist judge eventually comes along and gives them what they want.

I'm waiting for Trump's Truth Social to open peoples' eyes to what I believe are the criminal minded people that the Democrats and RINOs really are.

Insights welcome.

What do you want the GOP to do? People like you gave the majority to the Democrats and then you whine when the party in the minority “can’t do anything.”

It’s so utterly absurd that it makes clown world look sane.

Oh, and Cawthorne WON the lawsuit that HE filed after the Democrats tried this stunt.

So I guess the GOP isn’t defeated and is fighting back after all?

If your sole purpose is to eeyore then you are part of the problem.

Constructive criticism, you need to let them know and stop being subservient to their lackluster leadership.

I don’t even recognize this country. The GOP has ben thoroughly defeated and have done nothing to stop this nonsense on so many fronts.

With Ted Cruz calling them terrorists, it’s a pretty sad situation. The way the Rs have been silent on those people in jail in DC is truly pathetic.

My prediction: if the GOP gets any guts at all it will revive these lawfare tactics and use them against the party of Rebellion, Secession, and Slavery.

There is no reason that the democRATs should not get the same treatment, except for things that they REALLY did. But I am afraid that the GOP, excluding Trump, does not have the guts to punch back.

I think this was a test case to then play on President Trump. The Soviet style Jan 6th commission of political oligarchs, have said their purpose was to prevent President Trump from running for office again. They have no power to prevent him, but they have plenty of judges to do their bidding.

It is a pretty sorry state of affairs. The left yelling insurrection is all projection.

I have a story in my “Today’s News” about DemoKKKrat “dark money” funding lawfare attacks on 100 lawyers who helped Trump during the challenge, attempting to disbar them.

How can people who do things like that live with themselves?
