I was listening to The Dave Clark Five, The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones in 1964.
We took long family trips through the midwest and west in the early and mid 60s to visit relatives. Our Bonneville had no cassette player, no FM radio and no AC. Just a plain old AM radio. When we hit Oklahoma, dad always played songs like this and we kids groaned.

But you got to ride in a '60s Bonneville! I groaned when my father played the Liza Minelli and Frank Sinatra 8-Tracks in the '72 Impala, but now that I have matured, my tastes have broadened to appreciate the non-Rock music of that era and earlier.
