Did you have to give a phone number to register for TS?
It won’t let me register without one.
Trump Girl Kit Cat was able to register with email only (like GETTR, Gab, etc).

No, but I'm not sure I am registered. When it was first announced, I signed up with my e-mail for announcements/updates. I only got a few of those.
Then when the app came out I downloaded it & also went to the website. I put in my e-mail & then after a few days, it allowed me to verify my e-mail. But every time I go to set up an account, it says my e-mail &/or password is not valid. I really don't have time right now to mess around with it, so I've checked a few times to see if I could set up an account either through the app or online & nothing seems to work.
Well, the computer at the office is down, so I can't log in at the moment, but it gave me a couple of minutes to try Truth Social.
I went back to the "verify e-mail address" e-mail I received a few weeks ago & the token had expired. So I re-verified & got a code back (this didn't happen last time), entered the code & YES, I had to enter my phone #. I did that, set up a user name & received a final e-mail back that said:
"Thanks for joining! Due to high demand, we have placed you on our waitlist. We love you, and you are not just another number to us! But your waitlist number is above 🙂
We will email you when your account is ready. If you enable push notifications in the Truth Social mobile app, we'll also notify you via a push notification."
So that is where I stand at the moment.
