That’s what I wonder, where is the workforce?

That's what I have been wondering for a long time. Unemployment benefits have run out, so how are people paying their bills now, if they aren't working, but were previously working to pay bills? Why don't they need to work now?

This week unemployment numbers will tell. Democrat-run states are lagging. My County came out of COVID emergency 2 weeks back.

It’s a mystery. I read about some huge construction project in Houston that had been put on hold during covid. Then they couldn’t find qualified workers, so they actually opened a trade school to train new workers.
Their explanation is that many workers in fields such as construction were older and just retired after covid. Those types of trades haven’t been pursued by younger generation so there is a shortage.
