There was no reason to declare martial law to deal with BLM and Antifa. The only thing needed was for state and city law enforcement to be allowed to do their jobs and arrest looters, arsonists, vandals and rioters, instead of making the police stand down and having mayors and district attorneys exhibit their anti-police bias. I had a front row seat to all of that in 2020 in my city.
BLM and Antifa also promote, promulgate, preach and practice violence, which the truckers did not.
Precisely. The riots only happened where they were sanctioned by the local governments.

And, this Emergencies Act empowered local police to do the same thing including compelling towing companies to fulfill their contracts.

There are reports that the truckers did practice some violence. Besides, blockading border crossings and downtown streets is a form of violence.
The only reason some here are ignoring the similarities is their sympathy to anyone/anything fighting the mandates. IOW, they’re supporting the truckers and opposing the Emergency act being used against them because of opposition to the mandates.
