Update: The hawk previously had the squirrel over in my neighbor’s yard. I just came home a little while ago from errands and discovered the squirrel carcass between my house and the neighbor’s...a good 50 feet from the scene of the “crime”. The hawk didn’t eat much...just the brains! My dog was with me, and trying to get at it, so I scooped the squirrel up in a plastic bag and deposited it in the trash. I dislike squirrels...but that was a rough way to go for the little fella...
Except for the mention of the quetzcoatlus (sp?) thing, no one wants to mention the thunderbirds.
I, for one, believe that some Native Americans (post 1000 AD) actually were familiar with mastodons and thunderbirds. (But not the T-birds from Ford)
