I’d give the Penske’s a little slack on that story. It might be less about the signs than about the risk of the truck being lost. Remember the bunch of Osama’s goons in the 93 WTC booming? After they bombed the place genius #2 went back to the rental agency asking for his 400$ deposit back. Robbers, bombers, thieves, etc. like to use somebody else’s vehicles.
Or they could just be a bunch of anti American plicks——I dunno?
I’d never heard the story about the deposit money.
I know that they identified the vehicle from a serial number stamped into the rear axle housing.
