I disagree. Parents assisting “tranning” children is by definition child abuse.

The tiny number of people that will be po’ed is dwarfed by the huge number of people standing and cheering and shouting “ABOUT EFFING TIME!”

I'm saying Abbot doesn't need to add new laws. They're already on the books. If anything he simply needs to make sure the laws are followed.

If this ^ is what you remember, I think Greg Abbott’s (https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/21272649-abbott-letter-to-masters) letter to the Commissioner of the TX Dept of Family and Protective Services is spot on and can potentially help this father.

I AGREE, lj! It is “ABOUT EFFING TIME!”

ALL mandatory reporters have a legal obligation to report suspected child abuse. I learned to report directly to our county sheriff or SRO rather than to the school counselor who took her own sweet time to report to the principal who said yea/nay about reporting to DHR who then took their own sweet time to get back with me.
