"A guy at work bought one and the roof leaked immediately. He took it back and surprisingly he got his money back." And the dealership probably turned around and sold it for more.

Condenser, rotor, and points, Fifteen minutes and off you go. Maybe six or eight spark plugs. On a Ford, I think a 1956 or 57, you had to unbolt the motor mounts and raise the engine to change the number 8 spark plug. Had a problem, car not stating. Problem was the grounding strap star washer was installed wrong at the factory. So sometimes it had good grounding. Then when it got mad, no ground, and car, no go. It was fun being a weekend mechanic. Wife did not enjoy a motor being overhauled on the kitchen table.

Perhaps the Ford Corporation integrated some of the design specs from the Pinto into the Bronco. They’re both named after horses after all.

They just took the Ford Escape and called it a Bronco. Ford’s “big reveal” has been an utter disappointment. There is nothing iconic or legendary with the new bronco. It’s a weak little grocery getter. What they should have done is drop an v8 in like Jeep now offers.

Really? There are 300 hp and 330 hp Escapes with 8+ inches ground clearance?

I was thinking, didn’t we have a President about 15 months ago who, during his presidency, talked about why the US is dependent on foreign chip manufacturers and that someone should start making them here in thE US.
No mean tweets. Orange Man Bad.

It doesn’t look at all like the cute Escape. And it’s bigger.

I have a 77. Get followed around town sometimes.
But, talking to folks I shake my wonder why they couldn’t just rebuild it the way they looked from ‘66-‘77.
There’s a company that tricks them out and puts those Coyote engines in them….$100k and up. Over $200k for some.
Same with Toyota and the FJ. Make it look like the old ones and they would have been able to make enough of them.

Not sure I would want to pay big bucks for a vehicle that has been sitting for months in bad weather w/o being started or driven (internal seals not getting any lube, etc.).

I’ve seen the shop that makes those rebuilds. Pricey, but magnificent. That’s what we wished Ford would have designed - classic styling with modern safety features.
I used to wheel with a guy who ran a 76 EB with 38” tires - he ran that Bronc through any trail obstacle! I bet your 77 is a great ride.

I love it.
No top. No doors. Drive when it’s 30deg. Drive when it’s 90deg.

You are confusing the Bronco Sport for the Bronco. Bronco sport is off the Escape chasis. Bronco is body on frame like a truck.
