How come no one is screaming that we should resume domestic oil and gas drilling, which would starve Moscow of needed funds as well as reduce costs to American tax payers, reduce inflation, and put people back to work.

The real problem is that the Germans and French have already sold out to Russian natural gas. Had they maintained their own sources, or at least opposed Nord Stream so that the pipelines would continue to run through the Ukraine and Poland, it would have been an entirely different story.
Notice how Trump had the situation under control? Putin had the stability of knowing his border with Ukraine was not going to be screwed around with by the imbeciles now leading the west. He also knew, with certainty, that Trump would cut his economic throat if he tried this. The threat of Trumpian tariffs and sanctions and an increase in the flood of American oil pacified the Russians. Of course, our new regime pi$$ed all that capability away.
