Your metrics are garbage overall.
The distribution system isn’t remotely prepared for the majority of persons to have electric vehicles.(especially older utility companies)
Where are these materials being harvested from?
How much energy is being used to transport them?
How much from energy is used from harvesting to end product?
Do you think there won’t be massive PUC rate increases to accommodate all the upgrades needed on the distribution system?
Typical black box thinking. You just address a small part of the realities involved.

Well, duh. That’s why absorbing “free” sunlight costs a LOT of money. You’re paying for the solar cells and their maintenance, but much more for the energy storage (which electric cars actually help with), the distribution networks... But the system expanded proportionally more in the 1960s than electric cars will make it expand in the 2020s and 2030s. It can be done, and for less money each year. Hell, the REAL secret the environmentalists don’t want you to know is the REAL reason why we’re building electrical power as slowly as we are: because the last guy to adopt solar power pays the least for it.

The internet lends itself to black-or-white, all-or-nothing debate. What’s hard to understand is that for 50 years (or more), the left has been making ridiculous, outrageous lies about solar power... but with the price reductions coming so steadily, what were once lies are now true. And no, it’s not because of government subsidies which chased good technology out with bad technology; it’s because the same human creativity which meant we did NOT run out of fossil fuels in the 1980s also means that solar technology will always get cheaper and cheaper.
