That would be nuclear fission or fusion.
The EV fans should realize that nuclear is the only power source that will make them viable and green.
But oh no! It might blow up! It might radiate!
(BTW, if you want the whole truth on radiation - look at Hiroshima. It doesn’t last forever.)
Unless regulations on nuclear power plants are lessened, and other types of reactors are considered (such as thorium), nuclear is not going to produce the power necessary in the US.
