The idea of “freedom” is actually terrifying to Gen Z and even some Boomers. They want to be told what to do, when to do it, and for how long.
The idea of being afloat in a sea of freedom, finding your own way by the winds, is so paralyzing as to cause them to ball up and suck their thumbs. I’ve heard Twitch streamers get red-faced screaming at people who espouse this idea that society should “go back to normal.” Normal isn’t defined as we understand it anymore. Normal has been re-minted, and it looks suspiciously like fascism.
Propagandizing for the enemy should be treated like it was during WWII.
