Lulz. I like a good Whooper now and then, but really can make it myself. GG
That said, the Burger King in the town I live should probably already close cause it is utterly getting wrecked by the McDonald’s down the street.......

Never cared much for peppers except maybe on a pizza.
Give me my tartar sauce and curly fries.

when a Whopper was $2, is no more. Shucks I remember when a MacDonalds Burger was Ten Cents. Times change but this is getting a little difficult to take.

$1,100 without tires, probably another $1,000 just for four BF Goodrich tires. If this crap keeps up we will probably end up like Cuba, making our own parts out in the garage just to keep em on the road.

Now that’s what I call business synergy. I think Costco is now one of the bigger chicken farms just so they can keep broasting chickens at a compelling price. They have had their big hotdog and cold drink for $1.50 for many years, more than ten for sure.

That is news to me. Thanks. Meanwhile, Walmart is a major player in the milk bottling biz. The termination of supply contracts with Dean Foods, after Walmart got into the biz, was a large factor in DF’s bankruptcy filing.
https://www.fox6now.com/news/walmart-kroger-bottle-their-own-milk-and-shake-up-american-dairy-industry
[When supermarket shoppers reach for white gallon jugs these days, most of the time they grab a low-priced store brand. To expand those offerings, major grocery retailers, including Kroger Co., Walmart Inc. and Albertsons Cos., have built their own milk-bottling plants.
Grocers’ move into the bottling business is threatening some of the biggest operators in the $40 billion U.S. milk industry, the purveyors of national brands. Dean Foods Co., which until last year was the largest U.S. milk processor by sales, and Borden Dairy Co., another big producer, were sold this year after filing for bankruptcy in November and January. Executives of both had blamed some of their struggles on grocers’ focus on cheap milk, often used as a loss leader.]
ICYMI, my reference to synergy between Jack in the Box and Ralston Purina was a dig at JACK, given that Ralston Purina is in the pet chow biz. JACK has long been a standalone publicly traded company, but opportunities to work in a cheap shot are rare.

Easily.
At times I wished I kept all the old rusted chrome wheels and them powdercoated like I did with one of the Jeeps. They were original.
Those wheels turned out beautifully and I’ve gotten compliments from the few who have seen them. The CJ7 is apart for a good while longer.
Still recuperating from emergency surgery in January but improving a bit every day.

Same here. My sliver of its shares went to zero, but Dean is still in business with probably the same physical plant it had before. A dairy farmer coop bought the company, presumably so the members don’t get squeezed on the prices they get for their milk by Walmart and other big time grocery chain milk bottlers like Kroger and Target.

Never ever saw a whopper on any discount menu other than 2 for 6 dollars. And they are not doing that anymore. The prices on the value menu just went up. No coupons anymore either.
Burger King does not care that you get a burger that is cooked dried like shoe leather. There burgers don’t taste good at all anymore.
