is how it sounded to me when I prayed with my Dad before bedtime in the late 1940s.
One lyric I did not know until I was an adult was from the song “There’s a bad moon on the rise” —> There’s a bathroom on the right.
LOL! I thought the same thing!
We were visiting a Presbyterian church one Sunday, and my 6 year old apparently wasn’t happy with the solemnity, so unlike the Pentecostal church she was used to. She was busying herself with a pen and offering envelope, which she placed in the offering plate as it came by her. I managed to snatch it away, and a good thing, too. On it she had written, “You need to jazz this place up a little bit!”
I thought it was, Our Father who art in heaven, Howard be thy name.
