I agree with you, but it’s almost comedic at this point. Kidnapping protesters and dropping them off at an East end or West end mall and handing them a mask as they leave the paddy wagon in case they want to go inside? The protesters said they promised the thugs that they’d leave town immediately after their experience with the thugs and the deliberately-rough ride in the paddy wagon, but they’re all showing up again tomorrow.
Castreau’s minority government limits his ability to act unilaterally. He faces a non-confidence motion as it is and has the Governor General watching him closely now too. If the House fails to check his powers because of an unsuccessful non-con vote, the GG can still bring it on her own on behalf of the people. This becomes even more likely if he goes rogue on us ... or more rogue, in his case.
This is approaching the ridiculous now and I’m not convinced that we’re not watching a carefully orchestrated performance. Maybe the 4 Q drops that advised us to “Watch CA” was Canada after all? I don’t even trust my own eyes any more to understand the truth of what I’m seeing. We’re that far beyond the realm of our collective comprehension and experience.
paddy wagon ? PADDY WAGON ? That’s racist. (s/off)

I talked with a conservative and pureblood Canadian friend in church after the service today, and he seems convinced that more Canadians support the truckers and are sick of Turdeau than not, although many here would say the populace is too pre-conditioned to obey authority. This man has lived in the US for decades, though, so I’m not sure if he really has his hand on the pulse of Canadians back there.
