The GG is not the only one. Since trudeau has a coalition, the members of the NDP, with whom he’s formed the coalition, can decline to support him in a non-confidence vote. That’s why I wrote to Jagmeet Singh and asked him to be honourable. Castreau doesn’t have the votes to defeat a non-confidence motion if the NDP defects. The Conservatives and Bloc don’t have enough votes to win the vote of non-confidence, even if every one of them voted no confidence in trudeau to continue leading the country. Together, they have only 151 seats/votes. They need another 18 votes from the 187 MP’s from the Green, Independent, Liberal and NDP parties.
We need to see what happens on Monday night. Trudeau only has 7 days to get approval from Parliament for his use of the Emergencies Act. If the majority of MP’s don’t support him, I’d expect the next point of order to be a motion to have a vote of No Confidence. Castreau can lose the vote to keep the Act in place for 90 days, and win a vote to remain Prime Minister. The fact that trudeau even tried to use the EA is ghastly, even if Parliament doesn’t approve it. We want to see both votes go against him to keep the GG out of it. She’s our last hope if all the Liberals and NDP hang together and vote to invoke the Act and to keep trudeau.

My understanding is Parliament can kill it any time. If looks like it gets that close would trudeau risk dissolving parliament for another election ?
