I understand the concept but don’t believe Vanguard is any different than BlackRock, Berhshire hathaway et al. politically, economically nor investment wise. From their website:

What We Care About:

Building a sustainable future

The long-term impact of climate change represents a material risk to our investors and the way companies including ours will operate in the future. We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our operations.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion

Our differences make us stronger

At Vanguard, we aspire to create an inclusive and equitable work environment in which our crew can leverage all their skills and thrive. A thriving crew drives our mission to provide all investors with the best chance of investment success.

Ethics and integrity

Standing for stewardship

Vanguard is a company that stands for something—something more important than market share, growth in assets, or industry leadership. We stand for stewardship.

Vanguard investors are happy that they get a good return from their investment, but given the future direction, and their involvement in such nonsense as climate change Vanguard are IMO no different than the rest of Wall Street, aligned with the WEF Davos crowd.

Vanguard is not part of Wall Street because they are owned by the shareholders (fund investors). The Independent Directors can be voted out by the shareholders. You may be right about Vanguard’s leadership, but on the other hand, their website statements may just be blah blah boilerplate so they don’t get sued. It’s hard to tell any more.
