OhDear Linda dude! There is so much for people to be authentically insulted by, I wouldn’t worry about if what you say “might” offend someone. I rather like the term “paddy wagon” as I had a great uncle who spent a lot of time in the back of one or a few dozen, on his way to the hoozgow. Uncle Bill had some great stories!
(or maybe it’s just that my offfense-oh!-meter is so off, I don’t even care when people call me the Christmas Nazi, or any other kind of Nazi. I’m almost pure German, and it doesn’t bother me.)
..there was a time in this country not so long ago that EVERYBODY enjoyed other people's culture...
we were all Irish on St Patricks Day, German for octoberfest, black when listening to Flip Wilson or Gladys Knight and the Pips, Polish for kielbasi and halupki and kolachi...we were Chinese for Chinese New Year...
we though innocently that it was a compliment to partake in other people's cultures and traditions...
I miss those days....
