Putin’s multi Billion dollar yacht abruptly left Germany in the middle of a overhaul last Friday. It sailed from Lubec to Killingrad (sp?)
The timing is indicative of why it was suddenly moved while the shipyard work was incomplete.
So you must believe Russia is invading. Good luck with that.
“So you must believe Russia is invading. Good luck with that.”
From post #21 in this thread which you obviously did not read:
>>> I will say that I am today less concerned that Russia will invade Ukraine than I was on Friday. <<<
If the Germans impose sanctions, they might find themselves in the dark, and very very cold. Why do Germans have this congenital insane desire to rule eastern Ukraine?
For that matter, I haven’t seen proof of who actually owns it. They keep calling it Putin’s yacht, but I have never seen who’s name is on the title.
Germans who support the current government surely did. Are they a minority of the population?
Don’t worry about the Ukraine or Russia, I would be more concerned about the war mongering idiots in the District of Corruption.
So you don’t think Russia is invading but think Putin is concerned about his yacht being taken due to sanctions from them invading. Cognitive dissonance.
The Germans have already VERY STRONGLY SIGNALLED they are not getting in the middle and being Brandon’s useful idiots.
War sucks but the people of eastern Ukraine overwhelmingly want to be part of Russia. They speak Russian, their culture is Russian. They do not approve of the more Western and leftist culture in eastern Ukraine.
If eastern Ukraine would just give them the right to self determination this would not be an issue.
We should stay out of this - for many reasons.
Putin is not going to annex all of Ukraine. But he very well might annex the east - which is what the people there want.
I’m not worried about Ukraine. But if WWIII breaks out - God help us all.
Wonder why the narrator for the youtube video can’t pronounce Super Yacht? I mean what is a Soupie Ought?
Putin is many things and one of them is smart. There are people in the US and Europe who want to impose sanctions on Russia regardless of any invasion and he is prudent to move his assets to safe haven.
No doubt he’s done the same thing with his estimated $3bn in foreign investments.
This article is click bait stupid. Germany would not seize the ship. A very likely scenario is the company doing the work does not want to be sanctioned itself and/or lose US business by being engaged with an entity that could have future sanctions and told Putin they had to part ways.
“This article is click bait stupid.”
You didn’t even look at it, did you? It’s not an article but a video posted on You Tube by a channel that follows yachting interests. The only reason this is on their channel is because it’s a newsworthy yachting topic.
They have 123,000 subscribers and their ads are controlled by You Tube so the ‘click bait’ accusation rings rather hollow.
He sounds like he’s from Northern Ireland.
You are right, I never watched it and used ESP to know the yacht was valued at 100 Million and not several billion. Post #13.
