(WASHINGTON) – The following is the official statement of Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa regarding the ongoing blockade by the Freedom Convoy protest at the United States-Canada border.
“The Teamsters Union denounces the ongoing Freedom Convoy protest at the Canadian border that continues to hurt workers and negatively impact our economy. The livelihood of working Americans and Canadians in the automotive, agricultural, and manufacturing sectors is threatened by this blockade.
“Our economy is growing under the Biden Administration, and this disruption in international trade threatens to derail the gains we have made. Our members are some of the hardest workers in the country and are being prevented from doing their jobs. The Teamsters call on the organizers of this action to end this protest and instead, engage in meaningful political discourse with the Canadian government to find a solution.”

Our members are some of the hardest workers in the country and are being prevented from doing their jobs.
"...because that's our department! This is a matter of making sure freight can move so people don't get hit with higher bills and even starvation. It's a completely different story when we Teamsters go on strike and shake down everyone else in both countries."
Exactly. I was rather young, but remembering the 1960s. Everything has flip flopped. The protesters of the 60s are in charge and THEY have become what they once protested.
I was under the impression most of the truckers in the convoys are independent operators. Of course the Teamsters hate nonunion truckers. Their statement should be weighed in light of that.
“The very people who demand the right to strike and set up picket lines are against this demonstration.”
I’m with the truckers in their cause but abstractly speaking, if one of the very important pipes in our economy is plugged and causing widespread suffering, doesn’t that pipe need to be unplugged.
Another poster suggested that the truckers just go on strike. What about that?
yep, saw this coming... “Company men” ass kissers.
“Teamsters are pussies. Real truck drivers aint.”

Still More #ComDem_Insanity!
One does not know, but one does wonder.
The commie union is a big fat pet of White Liberal ‘Elites’.
The FBI and DOJ aren’t even allowed to glace at their union corruption - tells you their ‘pet status’ is high.
To: no one in particularTwo sinking hours before the whores show their true colors. *double sigh*I’m old enough to remember when the communists used the Teamster to muscle freedom loving governments...

The [global] government had no problem shutting down the pipes and the entire economy and freedom for two years. The Canadian truckers are trying to re-open the pipes and restore freedom.
On what planet?
Planet China
The old man ended up melted into an aluminum forge. The son fears he is next. Fighting against freedom, he should worry.
The teamsters are criminal thugs. In relation to FR then the name Terry Adams comes to mind.
That the economy is growing is a known fact on alternate universe XKBY-422971.
Did they finally find the family burial plot?
Ceaucesceau’d
Did the Teamsters vote on this, or is this just management talking on behalf of the Teamsters? I have a hard time believing true truckers are going along with Hoffa on this.
I’m really surprised it took them this long.
