I was in second grade, it was a Sunday night. Black and white TV. The next day on the bus we were all excited about what we saw that night.

I watched second half of show - we switched over after Disney was over.

I hated them at first. I was just starting to have some success talking up junior hi girls. Suddenly, I couldn’t even make eye contact with those girls with their heads stuck in a fan magazine (”Oh, his eyes are so dreamy.” “I’m gonna marry Paul.”)

Then in late November, I heard a piece of a new song that I really liked on the school bus - in between the chatter. When the song finished, the DJ said, “That’s the new single by the Beatles, I Feel Fine.” A blind taste test won me over. Been on an upward trajectory from that moment. Beatles Forever, Baby!
