Save your money and send the handheld thing back. Best to get a jet nebulizer. I paid $100 for mine.
For sinuses, use the SinuPulse, it’s about $90. 100 times better than a neti pot. Easy to use, kicks allergies and a cold to the curb.

I’m posting this to the list, because a hand held nebulizer doesn’t get deep into the lungs, like a jet nebulizer will.
And really, the best for sinuses is the SinuPulse. I wish people would stop messing with a neti pot, when this machine is far more effective.

ThankQ for the suggestions. I will at least try the handheld one and see if it helps. I was hoping for something simple, that I could grab off the nightstand when the mucus monster attacked in the middle of the night (its favorite time, lol) and use without fully waking up or disturbing too many braincells. Also something that wasn’t like a big “machine” with all the parts that need cleaning, etc. We’ll see how it goes...it got great reviews (I looked at quite a few before selecting it), and it was quite inexpensive ($50). Oh, and forget neti pots, I agree.
BTW, now you know someone whose coof didn’t start with a scratchy throat. Mine had no throat or respiratory issues at all - just a headache and crashing fatigue. Lasted about 36 hours, during 30 of which I was dead to the world. So I have very few memories of it. I’ve known quite a few in this area that had that “version”. So many differences out there!
