at my hospital, nurses had to buy their own oximeters...the RT's had their own.....the range in price can be in the teens to a couple hundred....you can imagine what most people bought....

but its neither here nor there because no self respecting medical professional would ever rely on ONE device to determine anything....I can tell you some people you can not easily get a reading from...not on any of their fingers, not their toes, and not the tip of their ears....ABG's are the most accurate.,
