—” I make a damned good mulberry jam “
A friend’s mother who was very German was one of the few that had an interest in the mulberries.
We would lay out plastic tarps and shake the tree.
The more mulberries, the more and different things she made.
Also loved by every critter in DuPage!
I put out critter cams and spotted coons, possums, rabbits, skunks, fox... but never any coyotes? Have seen them inside my neighbor’s fenced area?
Oddly this year very few critters of any kind?
The dogs and I make a run every night, we have seen an area fox a few times, some rabbits ... and we are into coyote mating season and still nothing?
That said, I have been watching new tracks that appear each morning cutting a few hundred feet across a neighbors lawn. not on the same track but in the same direction.
I’m not a wildlife tracker but these are obvious in the fresh snow each morning.
That was fun!
There was a flock of Trolls but they moved on last year.

Ah! Blast from the past.
Right, and their disappearance is a crisis, and is due to human activity. Gaslighting. Kiss my ass.
