“claiming Nazis and Jews were both white ... This is true”
I’m not sure why there’s such an uproar over Whoopi’s remark.
Are Jews considered to be exactly the same race as whites? Why did Hitler want to eliminate them? Why has there been Jew hatred since Christ? One reason I think is that Jews were responsible for his crusification.
It was God’s plan for Christ to be crucified. It was the Jews who did it, because that’s what God had prophesied. The apostles were Jews, most of the believers while Jesus walked the Earth were Jews. The early Christians were a made up of Jews and Gentiles. Jesus said he came for the Jews. Then, after he arose from the dead, he told his disciples this:
“He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem”.
