If you boil down what Beschloss is often saying it’s that ‘the people can’t be trusted’ ... We - the people - are too stupid to see that ‘our elites’ should be making the decisions. Too stupid to see Trump as THEY see him.
And that being ‘popular’ is the same as being ‘Hitler’.

Do you recall the Gowin's law which the Left so often used to trot out everytime someone mentioned Hitler? In any dscussion which "devolved" to using Hitler analogies, the loser was declared the first to succumb to that temptation.
It seems that the Obama-adoring Left can't have a rational discussion anymore. So association fallacies and strawman gambits are dredged up in short order.
