I’m wondering what it would take for the Governor General to sack the Prime Minister, prorogue Parliament and call for new elections.
It would take a non-confidence motion and that’s always been made by our political representatives in the past. I’m not sure if the GG can make it herself, but she might make it if she received millions of communications from Canadians. The populace might be deemed to have made the motion under those circumstances. It’s never been done so we’re in uncharted territory.
