I almost sat it out for the first time in my life, not believing there was any difference between the viable candidates, but I finally decided I couldn’t not vote.
Trudeau’s Liberal Party didn’t win the popular vote, garnering only 32.6% of those who did vote, but did win more legislative seats than any other leader (159 of 338). He was able to get the cooperation of the NDP (very socialist party) and with their 25 seats have together formed a minority government. The rest of us are acutely aware that he governs by the explicit consent of only 19% of the eligible voters. He seems oblivious to that fact and is governing as though he has a clear majority and, at times, as though we’re all in Cuba.

His little speech about people holding “unacceptable opinions” made my jaw drop. Who says stuff like that??? That’s right up there with Biden’s “we’re losing our patience.” Oh yeah, and then what? You gonna get super mad?
