I used to run the Homosexual Agenda ping list for quite a few years, also started the Moral Absolutes ping list. I learned a lot, and one thing was that the LGBTQWTF movement is 100% at war with all religious and moral principles, and natural law itself. It is evil to the core. That does not mean every person afflicted is evil, but the philosophy/ideology pushing this, and their goals, are to completely destroy human civilization, and they do want the children.
Saw that clearly in the 1980s, and became an outcast.
As it was at Sodom. That spirit drove its disciples to defile innocence, defile the purity of God. As you say, the people were ensnared by that spirit, they could have broken free. But the (human) spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
Lot offered the innocence of his virgin daughters - and normally that would have been a great prize. But the pure righteousness of two angels can't hold a candle to just two young virgins; those people were driven to their own destruction - naturally.
It is obvious (to me) that the children of Sodom had no chance at righteousness, that that spirit drove those people to defile those children, surely at a very young age; some were likely sacrificed. Sodom had sealed its own fate
