I agree with that. Personally, all is not fine but Jesus gets me through.
Suicides are incredibly sad. I’ve known a handful of people in my life who have unfortunately taken their lives and each case was heartbreaking. You not only feel awful for the ones they leave behind, but you’re very sad, wondering what may have driven someone you love to take that way out. We’ll never truly know. Not in this world, anyway.
I’m sure many Christians have felt during trials that if not for the grace of God, they may be driven to such things too. I know that in a horrible year of loss for me a couple of years ago, I wondered how I’d have gotten through that without my faith in Jesus.
I believe that may be the basis for some of the comments here.
Her comments posted in post 2 are what led me to see a person with no faith in God.
They reveal a very extisential mindset, one that is concerned only with the here and now and seeing no purpose to her existence. It was like she realized there was no meaning to her life. She was asking “why” and saw no answer.
That is not indicative of someone with any kind of active faith.
