I have been on numerous internet sites over the years and no one else uses the noob term to berate another poster like here.

The irony is whenever someone use the word “noob” in a derogatory way to another poster it actually makes them look immature and petty...and they are too dumb to realize it.

As you mentioned right out of 7th grade.

Oh, they name call with “noob” because they can’t back up their conspiracy theories with a solid body of evidence. Name calling is all they got.

FR just isn’t what it used to be. Back in the old days, FReepers would sometimes get on a “noob’s” case because that person really was a troll from DU (with Viking Kitties soon to follow). They don’t seem to bother with us much anymore, though.

We’ve lost so many good FReepers who had been here for 15-20 years (who got tired of all the conspiracy nonsense and nastiness), it seems we’d want to welcome new ones. I’ve noticed several “noobs” who belong to the conspiracy crowd — makes sense, as there’s plenty of that on offer lately. But I’d never dream of calling them “noobs” because I disagree with them. That’s just childish.
