When I hear this song, I am reminded of another time.

Fifty years earlier.

My father had spent the last five years deployed to Yokosuka and Subic Bay, and when we came back to the USA, this was the song that as a young teenager heard. Impressionable time for good music!

This song brings me back every time I hear it. It is so reminiscent of that time. Different times!

Thanks so much for posting it...made my day!

One of my absolute favorites. I never get tired of it. 1972 was a great year for music.

When that song came out I immediately remembered my mother’s very similar (but obviously longer) talk, the summer of 70. I had just gotten my drivers license that day (my 16th birthday), and was headed for town that night (we lived on a farm, 6 miles from town).

7 years, 2 months, and 1 week later I met my dream girl. That doll is beside me right now, watching the Trump rally.

Yep, great song.

From Dania in Broward County.
(Think, Fort Lauderdale)

Use to ride past their house on my bike,
(the bands bus parked out front.)

Would stop and listen to them when they were writing and practicing that song and the song .. Treat Her Like A Lady.
