You might think so but what you are seeing is an illusion.
We lost out freedom under Nixon who created agencies that rule our live, property and jobs, and in addition set the Tribes above ordinary citizens with superior rights, making all others 2nd class citizens.
If you were not around in the 70s as a working adult in the Natural Resource categories, you would not have noticed the gently wrapped chains laid on you.
You would not have seen the wars raging in the West as property was taken for political reasons; would not have noticed as farms were absorbed into Parks or reservations, not have noticed as fishermen were thrown out of their profession and sent to Federal prisons for the crime of fishing without Federal Government permission. And so on. The litany of what was lost is long and very trying to recount.
You would not have heard how commercial salmon fishermen were slandered from the pulpit, received public death threats in newsprint. And were general hated by the public as the Media whipped up the hype of hatred. Few listened and fewer helped. We fought, we died, we lost.
Sadly, the only telling of these stories are by the people that lived them (and we are passing slowly from the scene), because the Media covered up, distorted, ignored and plain lied about those times. Those fake news stories are all that is left for sources, if you can even find them.
You cannot get back that which was destroyed ; you can only create anew ... but that would mean personal sacrifice - another thing lost and gone from this country.
Telling people on FR how it was only results in jeers, mockery and so on. No one listened, and so what came around, comes around. As my tag line says : They came for me and mine ... now its your turn.
That was warning. Few heeded. The direct result of which you're seeing happen right now.
We have to pay our mortgages, save and plan vacations, financing our retirements, raising our kids/college funds, pursuing careers, scared of physically rocking the boat but no problem posting frustrations on message boards, and finally the most important task while we watch the planning of US implosion, we got quilting to do.
Btw, what's happening right now is no secret, no need to sit around concentrating on it. That won't do any good anyway. That's what happens when warnings go unheeded.
Perhaps Steve Bannon's precinct project has been successful because he is providing leadership.
Trump was a leader and we rallied to him. It's to the point where we need a military leader. Suggestions, please.
OK, so what’s your solution? what should people do about this? what are you going to do about this?
My solution? I have no authority and those who do have power obviously couldn’t care less what you or I think. Lets get real.
But for what it’s worth, I think it might be too far gone, beyond traditional civil solutions anyway. I could be wrong though.
If a political party stated that all illegals would be rounded up and deported:
A) Who would file a lawsuit first:
big business
the democrats
B) What would be the chances of that party ever winning an election again

Well, I hope you’re wrong too. I think the US has shown amazing resiliency throughout our history, we’ve always risen to the occasion. And I think to many are simply to impatient, in our republican system things move slowly because thats the way it was designed. People seem to expect instant results; that doesn’t happen in our system.
Hopefully the civil war playing out right now stays in the political realm because if it ever gets to shooting at each other again, its all but over for the US at that point; all anyone will be fighting about is who gets control of the ashes. But, overall the election of Trump was like the battle of Midway in WWI or like Gettysburgh was in the civil war, they were turning points, and thats exactly what the election of Trump was in our political civil war. Without Trump winning and exposing the scum and villany in Washington D.C. and the media as the enemies of the people we wouldn’t be winning any battles because most people would still believe the propaganda coming from the news media.
If you really want to fight the battle, run for office and govern like you want those you’ve elected to govern, put your money where your mouth is, take action and stop bitching about everyone else not doing anything.

Unless you love living in a 6x9 concrete accommodation with a steal bunk and a 2-inch mattress being fed bologna sandwiches...not allot one can do.
We are helpless against a federal behemoth that is breaking the law with impunity and if you come against it, they will throw law after law, statute after statute at you.
Arrest you on trumped up charges, keep you locked up till you lose your job, spend all you have on legal fees, besmirch your reputation...then after several months, cut you loose after dropping the charges.
They know how to spank bad citizens.
